ENDOSCOPIC GASTRIC PLICATION

Under general anesthesia an endoscope-like tube is inserted into the patient’s mouth, through which all the necessary instruments pass, in order to place the plications (folds) in the stomach to secure the folded stomach wall. Afterwards, one by one the attachments are fixed until the treatment is completed. Usually between 10-14 plications are used.
